The objective of the daycare program at Kotton Fields Preschool is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to children while their parents, especially mothers, can peacefully focus on work and building a career.
The program is largely filled with play-based activities where the main focus is to ensure the smooth transition of kids from home to a more formal setting. Children learn essential skills like communicating their needs and wants, sharing and being independent during this phase.
The program is intensively focused on language development and developing crucial writing skills with the use of the old-school slate practice method.
The program is largely focused on building the language and numeracy skills learnt in the Nursery program while giving importance to developing their confidence and curiosity through fun group activities.
The program is structured while still being fun and engaging. It is designed to prepare children for Grade 1, where they are expected to have a certain set of skills to work independently, like reading simple sentences, writing in cursive handwriting and to add and subtract numbers.
